This unit concentrates on evaluating students, more specifically the need to do so and the various methods available for evaluating students. The unit opens by discussing the three ways to access a student’s language level, namely; Tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. After going into detain regarding what each of these areas entail, the unit them progress on to the various forms of test available and the typical ways these test are administered, with example that follow. Finally the unit closes with an outline of some of the common external test available for student to take that demonstrate their proficiency with the English language.
