Here Below you can check out the feedback (for one of our units) of one of the 16.000 students that last year took an online course with ITTT!

In this unit, I learned about different ways to assess a student's language level and specific types of tests. There are three ways to assess a student's language level, by tutorials, evaluation by the students, and tests. Tutorials, which can be done toward the end of a lesson, can be given as a group or with individual students to review what was studies, discuss the aims of the lessons, how well the students performed, whether there are any problems, etc. Students can be asked to evaluate their course through a guided discussion or by handing out questionnaires. This promotes genuine interaction, develops awareness among students, and helps the teacher understand how the students react. For it to be more effective, if the students' English is poor, the teacher can conduct it in their mother tongue (if possible). There are a lot of different kinds of tests a teacher can give to the students, depending on their needs. Placement tests are given to enable teachers to group students of the same level. Diagnostic tests are usually given at the start of the course to see what the students know/don't know and to help the teacher prepare lessons and materials specific to them. Progress tests are used to gauge what the students' have remembered, acquired, or forgotten. Practice tests follow the format and the structure of an external examination that the students are preparing for. Examples of external examinations are the TOEFL which is required by most universities for admission purposes of an non-native English speaker, IELTS which is the ideal test if a student needs to study or work where English is the language of communication, and TOEIC which measures the ability of non-native English-speaking examinees to use English in everyday work activities.
