The special groups considered in this lesson included beginners, on-to-one students, children, and business English learners. Obviously each of these groups differs greatly in their needs and classroom conditions, and so teaching techniques will be different for each as well. The unit provided a number of good considerations and suggestions for the classroom for each of these groups. While it seems to me that each TEFL teacher probably has his or her preferred groups, knowing the principles and being prepared for any type of class should be a goal of teachers in the industry.
