The unit gives all the parts that go to making up sentences known as the parts of speech. A very simple sentence can be an object and a verb but there are many more aspects to make a richer sentence and to give a the sentence greater meaning. The basis of the sentence is the noun and the verb , add to this an article either definite or indefinite , then an adjective to describe the noun or an adverb to increase the meaning of the adjective , perhaps preposition to show further meaning to the noun and a conjunction to join the sentence or word together and you have a fuller sentence. The unit discussed more about the types of verbs and adjectives , the use of pronouns and gerunds.I have learnt what a gerund is , as this is new information to me. All in all this unit has explained more clearly to me many aspects of my language I have taken for granted. I have really enjoyed this unit for the explanations.
