After reading the unit, I got very good ideas on how to teach my students conditionals and reported speech.
Teaching ideas for conditionals such as splitting sentences, completing the conditional sentences, chain conditional meaning that students take turns to continue a conditional sentence, giving moral dilemmas in conditional forms to discuss.
Teaching ideas for reported speech such as media interviews where the person needs to report a third party, giving a collection of direct sentences and ask the students to change them into reported speech using different reporting verbs and finally intermediaries where there will be groups of three people and one person says a sentence which is then reported to the third.
