This Unit discussed the Evaluation and testing of the students in the English language. I learned that there are ways to assess a student's language and these are by tutorials, evaluation by the students, and tests. As to the different types of tests we have the placement test which will help the teacher as to which group of students are they going to be with or a diagnostic test which will tell the teacher of the strength and weaknesses of the students before commencing the EFL course. Practice test comes as the third type of exam which gives the students an idea of how close they are to the required standard and also to get used to the structure of the examination. The achievement test is also another type of test which is usually an internal test given at the end of a course. There are still other types of tests which a teacher should be aware of especially the external proficiency types in which the teacher should know these in order to align the course to the needs of the students.
