Modals and Passive Voice - Active vs. Passive Voice

The difference between the active and passive voice is one of the more advanced topics of English grammar. Therefore, it is important for every English teacher to understand this concept.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

In unit twelve,i have learned of another skill which is the productive skill that is speaking and writing.
I also learned that teachers use this skill to help students work on their speaking and writing skills in English language and also i learned that games too are incorporated by teachers as a way of learning Englis.
More so,speaking and writing as i have learned have the same objective that is ,they are used as means of communication even though writing is relegated to the background by so many teachers including m.
I came to realize that there are interesting topics a teacher can use to make students write for example ,showing them interesting picture.
I also learned that a teacher engages students in communication to enhance their speaking abilitie.
In addition,i learned that in English there are accuracy and fluency activities.
I also come to realize that there is a difference between the two and they and they are equally important though they are used in different stages of the lesso.
I also learned that in accuracy and fluency ,a teacher makes sure the student is accurate in English and if accurate the teacher will help the student to be fluent in the languag.
Also i learned much in the area of speaking.
I learned that teachers need to help students overcome their fear to learn the language by encouraging students interactio.
Also i have come across the ESA method which is important in the TESOL course whereby the teacher uses this technique to help students speak in the speaking activit.
Also i learned that ESA(Engage Study Activate)technique is not only applied in speaking activity but also in the writing activity for example, the teacher uses pictures for students to talk on and write abou.
Another point i learned is the teacher uses games in class to teach students.
Games make students to talk and check on their vocabular.
In a nutshell, this unit has help me to understand the different techniques teachers use in class to help students improve on their writing, speaking skill in English languag.
