1. Bangalore, India - ESL job
Indus International School is located at Bangalore, India, and is currently looking for two ESL teachers to teach grades 4 and up.
We are looking for TESOL qualified (or equivalent), ESL teachers with one to two years of experience who would be willing to stay in India for at least a year.
The Indus International School campus is located on a 40-acre plot in Bangalore's pollution-free IT corridor. The environment lends itself to learning, development and an internationally designed curriculum.
Classrooms are spaciously designed to seat 25 students, and are equipped with play areas for pre-school, projection systems, computer facilities and lockers. The integrated sports complex comprises of an indoor-stadium and an outdoor track and field stadium. The well-equipped amphitheatre has a seating capacity of over 1000.
Teacher development is a special focus at Indus International School. Apart from attractive salaries and allowances, we have instituted long-term retention schemes that are enviable, even for the corporate sector. For a teachers' personal and professional growth, we are establishing a separate teacher-learning centre.
We offer our foreign teachers a fully furnished rent free apartment (single bedroom if you are single, two bedroom if you are married) as part of the remuneration package. 2.Teachers Needed in Sri Lanka
Make a real difference to Tsunami-affected communities in Sri Lanka
The Senahasa Trust, UK registered charity No.1108820, is recruiting dynamic native English speaking school teachers to work in four schools catering for children aged 6-18 in southern Sri Lanka, near to Galle. Following the destruction caused by the Tsunami in December 2004 the Senahasa Trust has rebuilt and equipped the schools with new classrooms and other facilities.
Senahasa Trust is also working with the Education Ministry in Sri Lanka to develop English language and IT skills at these schools. For the next stage of the project Senahasa wishes to recruit mature, flexible, enthusiastic teachers with a sense of adventure and the ability to work within a team with limited resources to continue building the English development program and running after-school English clubs. Applicants should have at least two year’s teaching experience with the relevant age group and hold a degree and TESOL qualification.
Working together with the schools’ Heads of English and the Principals and reporting to a local representative of the Senahasa Trust the successful candidates should be team players with prior experience of teaching children aged 6 - 18, of setting up and running English clubs and English activities, IT and internet sourcing skills and cultural sensitivity. Previous training/management skills would also be of use. The appointees will need CRB clearance.
The post is for an initial 2 year contract. Local salary will be paid and accommodation provided.
Qualifications
