From this unit I learn that coursebook is a book should not be a course in the sense that it determines the totally of learning experiences for those using it. Books are written to be relevant to as large a number of students as possible. Teaching a book is very different from basing a course on a book. In a real class,sometimes course book isn't enough,a teacher should creat his or her own teaching materials to supplement the coursebook.For students,the materials created by teachers are more interesting and more relevent.So a good teacher should sometimes supplement the course book to reinforce students' understanding. That's what I learned from this unit.
