TESOL Certification Seoul | TESOL Korea
Widely recognized as one of the world’s most dynamic cities, Seoul has a long history dating back over two thousand years. This history can be witnessed in the ancient neighborhoods that are nestled among the glass-clad skyscrapers of the modern city. Situated on the Han River, Seoul has a population of almost 11 million people and is the 16th largest city in the world.
Seoul offers a high standard of living compared to the cost of living which is much lower than many other international cities. This makes it a popular destination for many TESOL teachers who can live well wherever in the city they choose to settle.
With a population of over 700,000 foreigners, Seoul is a cosmopolitan city with international districts such as Itaewon and Hannam catering to foreign tastes. Seoul is also the ideal destination for sampling local Korean cuisine with many high-quality restaurants to choose from.
Seoul’s transportation infrastructure is excellent and getting around and out of the city is easy with the subway or the high-speed KTX bullet train service. Getting to other parts of the country should not take more than few hours from Seoul.
Although Seoul is a large city it is incredibly safe and the locals are keen for international visitors to take away a positive experience of the country and its people. When setting yourself up in a new apartment you will find that many of the utility companies have English speaking staff to help you get things in order.
